You can import and export both WebVTT (.vtt) and SubRip (.srt). The editor detects the format automatically and you pick the export format when downloading.

Will my edits persist if I refresh the page?

Yes. Your current working set is saved to your browser's local storage and restored the next time you open the editor. Use the Clear button to discard it.
